Ca2 + levels in spontaneously hypertensive and ischemic tissues were significantly higher. To explore the role of Na + / Ca2 + exchanger in this process, we used semi-quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to compare the expression of some tissues in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) Na + / Ca2 + exchanger mRNA levels in normal control tissues. The results showed that the Na + / Ca2 + exchanger mRNA in SHR tissue was lower than that in normal WKY rats. 48 hours after ligation caused renal ischemic kidneys Na + / Ca2 + exchanger mRNA also decreased. However, the expression of Na + / Ca2 + exchanger gene was increased in isoproterenol induced myocardial ischemia.
