A Single Man is one of the novel works by British writer Christopher Isherwood. There is no Chinese translation so far, but the popularity and popularity of A Single Man is relatively low. However, Sherwood one of the best works. The key messages of the novel include lost pain, foreigners living in the United States, the boundaries and significance of friendship and love, historical background (the Cuban missile crisis and sexual liberation), and conflicts and reconciliation between minorities and the mainstream society. On the basis of understanding, the translator should seize the writer’s writing characteristics and style to reproduce the original style. However, at the same time, there should be a clear boundary between translation and re-creation in translation. In translating, translators should bear in mind the role of translator as a bridge between the two cultures.
