在现有的早、中稻品种中,一般对温度反应比较敏感,达到一定的积温就能抽穗开花.如果秧龄过长,势必缩短大田营养生长期,造成早抽穗,穗头小,产量低.据试验,采用早稻迟熟品种珍珠矮翻秋,37天秧龄的,秧苗期积温达1006.7℃栽后45天就齐穗,平均每穗76粒,亩产只有462.9斤;而秧龄20天和15天的,秧苗期积温分别为561.8℃,415.7℃,比之少约一半,栽后分别53、56天齐穗,平均每穗达112,117粒,平均亩产分别为605.7和600斤,比37天秧龄的每亩约增产140斤:
