2014年12月4日,在中国社会科学院的一次讲座上,俄罗斯《十月》杂志主编伊琳娜?尼古拉耶夫娜?巴尔梅托娃感慨说,苏联解体结束了文学领域官方意识形态的垄断和控制局面,但与此同时,俄罗斯文学被抛向了市场,作家们失去了往昔的各种优惠政策和社会地位,为生活所迫,不得不追求文学奖项,满足市场需求。在这种背景下,文学奖一方面是一种刺激和召唤机制,另一方面也成为当代文学发展重要的风向标,引领着一段时间的创作方向。
