This article uses ethnographic methods to investigate the new generation of migrant workers in BYD Industrial Park, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, trying to find out how the new media is accompanied by the mobile life of the new generation of migrant workers. The authors found that the modern factory system and mobile life have greatly dispelled the traditional networks of people. Under such circumstances, the new generation of migrant workers’ groups are highly dependent on the new media to construct their personal relationships. However, this relationship is very fragile and emotionally cathartic-oriented when compared with that of the older generation of migrant workers based on geographical and kinship networks , Thus not contributing to the accumulation of social capital; this group seeks to reconstitute itself in the cyber world in search of the subjectivity that is dispelled by mobile life and the factory system, alleviating its identity anxiety; they can make their voices heard through the Internet This means that the new media provides them with the possibility of a fight.
