随着科技的发展,当前社会已经进入网络社会。在社会形态的转变过程中,图书馆也随之改变。为了顺利完成图书馆的转型,图书馆管理人员的职业定位必须随之调整,具体体现为图书管理人员在知识结构、学识水平、业务能力方面要尽可能地适应信息社会的挑战,适应复杂多变环境的要求,同时还要在职业观念上有新的认识,明确自身在网络社会中不仅是被动的服务者和文献保存、整理、传递者,而且是信息资源的管理和教育者。
