辐射井是由竖直的集水井和水平的取水管组成的一种复合井型。即在大口竖井下部的井壁周围,穿透井壁打若干条水平孔,并下好滤水管材,形成辐射状的水平取水管,也叫辐射管。井周围含水层中的地下水,可以直接渗入这些辐射管,并集中流进大口竖井,供水泵提取。使取水范围扩大,出水量增加。这种井型已在北方不少省、市采用,特别是陕西省应用最广,效果也最显著。陕西省地处黄土高原,土质属大孔性土,容水度大,而透水性差。同时,黄土土层的垂直节理相当发育,存在着大量垂直向的裂隙、根管、溶孔等。水平渗透性能比垂直渗透性能更差。采用当地的筒井、管井等竖直井,出水量太小,往往抽抽停停,群众称为“一袋烟井”。而辐射井
