柳林县地处三川河下游,三川河由东向西横穿县境中部,是黄河中游水土流失的严重区域,也是全省31个贫困县之一。全县总面积191万亩,三川河在本县境内的流域面积为83.58万亩,占全县总面积的43.4％。流域内涉及17个乡镇的251个行政村,总人口11.22万人,其中农业人口11.16万人。流域内有水土流失面积82.53万亩,占总面积的98.7％。自1983年
Liulin County is located in the lower reaches of the Sanchuan River. The Sanchuan River runs from east to west across the central county. It is a serious area for soil erosion in the middle reaches of the Yellow River and one of the 31 impoverished counties in the province.
