Objective To investigate the relationship between short Sense Sensitivity Index (SISI) and test tone level in normal subjects. Method The test frequency was 1 kHz, 2 kHz and 4 kHz, starting from the 15 dBSL and 20 dBSL on the hearing threshold, increasing the intensity by 10 dB for the SISI step by step until reaching 95 dBHL. Results The SISI of three frequencies increased with the hearing level, and the SISI score was easily reached at 65dBHL ~ 95dBHL or even higher hearing level. SISI has been shown to correlate positively with the test tone level. Conclusion The high SISI score tends to appear under high-intensity acoustic stimulation, indicating that high-intensity test-sound SISI test is an important audiological test to identify cochlear deafness and cochlear deafness.
