It has enabled Chinese businessmen to accumulate capital, technology and business management experience and create a number of well-regarded entrepreneurs, transforming some foreign-funded enterprises into national capitalist enterprises and directly stimulating the emergence of Chinese capitalism and social progress. Chinese subsidiary stock funds are often used by foreign businessmen to fight Chinese-funded enterprises. Some foreign shareholders ignore the rights of Chinese shareholders, which is closely related to China’s semi-colonial status and the absence of a necessary set of regulations on foreign investment management by the Qing government.
