“三个代表”重要思想发端于广东高州,明确于广州,是江泽民总书记在广东考察工作期间提出来的。“三个代表”是第三代中央领导集体长期深入思考马克思主义执政党问题的理论结晶。广东改革开放和现代化建设的生动实践,党的建设的新情况、新探索,为这一新思想的提炼和归纳提供了不可或缺的现实材料。两年多来,广东采取多种形式深入学习、研究、宣传“三个代表”,高潮迭起。 The important thinking of the ’Three Represents’ originated in Gaozhou, Guangdong and was clearly defined in Guangzhou. It was put forward by General Secretary Jiang Zemin during his inspection tour in Guangdong. The “Three Represents” are the Theoretical Crystallization of the Third Generation Central Collective Leadership Thinking Thoroughly and Deeply into the Issue of the Marxist Ruling Party. The vivid practice of Guangdong’s reform, opening up and modernization and the new situation and exploration of party building have provided an indispensable and realistic material for the refinement and induction of this new idea. Over the past two years or so, Guangdong adopted various forms of in-depth study, research and publicity of “three represents,” and climaxed one after another.
