This essay analyzes the concept of female chauvinism, as a radical idea evolved from feminism, is considered to be excessive expansion of feminism in modem society. Some people even think that it may cause excessive expansion of gender discrimination towards males. However, the idea of female chauvinism is, to some extent, controversial and criticized, which determines that it can only stay as a disillusion. Unequal distributions of economic resources and women＇ s own physical and psychological disadvantages prevent them from achieving female chauvinists＇ economic vision. And imbalance of political roles and women＇ s own reproductive responsibility put obstacles to stop them accomplishing female chauvinism in politics. In social and cultural life, despite of the new image of women, women in society are still labeled with ＂obedience＂. Female chauvinism is not realistic, yet, it proclaims gender equality, which will optimistically contribute to the improvement of woman＇ s equal position in society.
