Western feminist translation concept poses a challenge to the traditional translation concept. The traditional translation theory regards the original text and the translation as the poles of opposites and gives the relationship of the two to the gender color: the translation is inferior to the original and obeys the original, as is the submission of the female to the male. This metaphor is based on the patriarchal dualism of structuralism. The feminist translation concept reconstructs the dualism of structuralism and reconstructs the relationship between the original and the translated works, pointing out that the two are symbiotic relations that are both equal and complementary. In the practice of translating, the translator can realize the equality between the original and the translated works through empathy and role conversion with the author.
