Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in elderly patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). To investigate the feasibility, safety, advantages and disadvantages of percutaneous transradial and femoral arterial approaches. Methods A total of 400 patients with femoral artery and 380 patients with radial artery who underwent coronary angiography and interventional therapy were selected randomly from patients over 70 years of age for clinical analysis. Results Coronary artery angiography and interventional treatment through radial artery were significantly superior to those via femoral artery in postoperative vascular and puncture site complications, physical discomfort and psychological status (P < 0.01). Conclusion Coronary artery interventional therapy via radial artery in elderly patients with coronary heart disease is safe and feasible, which is worth popularizing and applying.
