美学既是哲学也是形态学。世界美学的多样性应该是美学体系的多样性。美学体系的多样性包括并主要体现在美学思想和审美形态范畴之间的张力性结构上。美学思想总会体现在审美形态范畴上,审美形态的研究也会影响美学思想的形成和对美学原理的修正。目前世界美学在多样性问题上尚处于非对称的错位发展状态。世界美学的多样性,应该是普适的美学原理、美学思想与具有影响力的民族审美形态范畴的统一。东方独特的审美形态的发现,不仅说明审美形态研究之于民族美学的重要性,也暴露了西方美学存在的片面性和以偏概全,而且更重要的在于,对东方审美形态范畴的深入挖掘已经在局部对西方美学原理形成挑战和突破。在当今世界美学格局中,虽然中国美学的审美形态研究正在走向深入,但在主义的建构方面还严重缺失,填补这些缺失,将成为中国美学未来发展的方向,也是理想的、健全的世界美学多样性的率先垂范之举。健全的美学多样性,需要在东方与西方之间、主义与形态之间、普适性与独特性之间、世界主义与民族主义之间保持平衡和张力。别现代主义美学主张当代美学需要世界胸怀,既不能用西方中心主义遮蔽非西方的审美形态范畴,也不能囿于狭隘的民族美学观念仅仅为了彰显自己的个性和不同而拒绝美学原理和美学上的主义建构,相反,要在深入研究审美形态的基础上,建构具有普适性的美学原理、美学流派和主义。
