Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of E2F3 and RB in bladder transitional cell carcinoma and its prognosis. Methods The expression of E2F3 and RB protein in 87 cases of bladder cancer was detected by SP immunohistochemical method. The relationship between E2F3 protein expression and pathological grade and RB protein expression was analyzed, and the effect of E2F3 on the prognosis of patients with bladder cancer was analyzed. Results There was a significant positive correlation between the positive expression of E2F3 and the pathological grade (P <0.05). The 5-year cumulative survival rate of E2F3 patients with different expression levels was significantly different (P <0.05) Some of the pathological tissues of bladder cancer showed inactivation, and there was a significant correlation between inactivation and E2F3 positive expression (P <0.05). Conclusion E2F3 may be a key regulatory factor in the development and progression of bladder cancer. Overexpression of E2F3 results in poorer prognosis. It is also found that inactivation of RB may be one of the factors that cause uncontrolled expression of E2F3.
