英国的J.Harmer首先从系统的、平衡的角度来研究外语教学法,并提出了“平衡活动教学法”(a balanced activities approach,以下简称平衡法)。他对语言结构与语言功能、学得与习得、输入与输出等一系列的对立观点进行了匡正。本文主要讨论了J.Harmer在外语教学中的学得与习得、输入与输出、语言结构与语言功能等方面的平衡思想,最后文章指出平衡活动教学法的优越性与不足之处。
J.Harmer, from the UK, first studied foreign language teaching from a systematic and balanced perspective and proposed a balanced activities approach (Balance Method). He corrected a series of opposing views on language structure and language functions, learning and acquisition, input and output. This article mainly discusses J.Harmer’s balance thoughts on acquisition and acquisition, input and output, language structure and language function in foreign language teaching. Finally, the article points out the advantages and disadvantages of the balanced activity teaching method.
