In the 1986 Sino-U.S. President Conference, the participating experts agreed that there are two criteria for evaluating a teacher: first, teaching ability, and second, academic level. The level of teaching ability can be achieved through the implementation of classroom teaching and teaching achievement. The quality of the academic level depends to a large extent on the publication of academic papers, the number of papers, and the quality of the papers.
