莫言小说《酒国》通过对现代化背景下中国一隅地方官员食婴暴力事件的描写,暗示了文明与野蛮具有同构性,并通过多层叙述手法来弱化食婴情节的真实性以增强作品的寓言旨向;作家通过暴露社会转型时期的种种人性缺失现象,寄寓了对城市现代化与人性野蛮化二元一体悖论式并行发展的病态社会现状的恐惧及对此生存状况下国人精神生活病态发展的深切焦虑。《酒国》无疑是转型期乃至当下的社会现实寓言。
