我国传统教学方法之一的教学翻译法重在帮助学生巩固语言能力,是英语教学的基础阶段;而与之极易混淆的另一概念:翻译教学,其目的是培养学生实际应用语言的能力,是英语教学偏重实践的一个阶段。二者本质不同却相辅相成,若在大学英语教学过程中应用教学翻译和翻译教学,则能够有效地提高学生的英语水平。 The teaching translation method, one of the traditional teaching methods in our country, focuses on helping students to consolidate the language ability and is the basic stage of English teaching. Another confusing concept is translation teaching, whose purpose is to cultivate students’ practical ability to apply the language, English teaching is a practice-oriented stage. The two are essentially different but complement each other. If teaching and translation teaching is applied in the process of college English teaching, students’ English proficiency can be effectively improved.
