在全断面隧道工程中采用液压冲击锤的开挖技术是一项革新。这种开挖方法最适合用于有裂隙和层理分明的岩层。在意大利有五座隧道采有过这种开挖方法,取得的掘进速度为2～9m/班(12h),在开挖量为300～900m~3的四座隧道中其平均速度为6m/班。
