一、教学准备
教师:准备录音机和磁带;准备制作动物图片,制作多媒体教学课件。
学生:准备调查表格,了解班上的学生对不同动物的喜好。
二、教学目标
1、知识与能力:(1)To listen,speak,read and write the following words:panda,zoo,tiger,elephant,koala,lion,giraffe,animal,cute,lazy,smart,beautiful.(2)Describe animals,express preferences .
2、过程与方法:利用多媒体创设学习环境,利用录音机训练听力,利用动物图片营造课堂氛围。
3、情感态度与价值观:了解世界各地野生动物的情况,增加地理知识,热爱大自然,关爱动物,挽救濒临灭绝的动物,让人类与动物和谐共处。
三、教学重点
重点是让学生熟练掌握12个四会单词,并能掌握句型“Why do you like pandas ?”及其回答:Because they’re very cute.
四、教学难点
难点是由第二人称变为第三人称时动词的变化。Why does he like elephants ? Because he thinks they are interesting .
五、教学方法
主要以视听和口语会话形式训练学生的英语交际能力,培养学生的学习英语兴趣,体会快乐英语数学的方法。
六、教学过程
Step 1:Warming-up.(热身)
(1)Show some animal cards and ask them to say out what animals they are.(dog,cat,pig,fish,bird,mouse,cow.)(2)Let students play a guessing game.A:Can you guess what animals they are?B:Yes I can. I guess they are pandas/tigers/elephants/koalas/lions/giraffes.首先让学生对身边容易接触到的动物作一般了解,然后引出本课时所要学习的动物名词。
Step 2:presentation(呈现)
(1)Let's go to the zoo. Point to some animals and ask students to answer some questions:T:What animals are they ?Ss:They are pandas / tigers……. T:Do you like these animals ? Ss:Yes,we do. T:Why do you like these animals ? Ss:Because they are very cute / interesting / smart / beautiful.(2)The other students dislike those animals,the teacher may ask.T:Do you like those animals ? S:No,we don't . T:Why don't you like those animals ? S:Because they are lazy / scary /ugly .根据学生的个性差异,学生可以有不同的回答,体现学生对动物看法的差异性。
Step 3:Practice(操练)
Work on la(1)Ask students to describe animals and show where the animals are located at the zoo .For example:T:Look at the picture . What animal is it ?Ss:It's a tiger . T:Do you like a tiger ?Ss:Yes,we do .T:Why do you like a tiger ? Ss:Because it is interesting .(2)Match the words with the animals in the picture .

教师在多媒体课件上再次呈现1a中的词汇,让学生根据图片展开对话,巩固本节课的新词汇,然后把1a中的词汇与图画中的动物搭配起来。
Step 4:Listening(听力)
Work on 1b . To help students recognize the target language in natural speech .(1)Before listening教師在听前呈现给学生听力任务,让学生做到有目的地听。(2)While listening 让学生听录音并且跟读,同时纠正学生的语音、语调,从而达到训练听力能力和口语会话能力的目的,同时完成表格中的听力任务。1. tiger 2. elephant 3. koala T 4. panda T 5. lion 6. giraffe T
Step 5:Consolidation(巩固)
Word on 1c . To help Ss use the target language in natural speech.(1)Role-play the conversation.让学生通过和同伴一起练习1c中的对话,熟练掌用Why的特殊疑问句要用Because来回答,然后要求学生自己编类似对话,做到学以致用,从而掌握本课时的重点。S1:Let us see the giraffes .S2:Why do you want to see them?S1:Because they are beautiful.(2)教师让学生拿出事先准备的动物图片,要求学生通过不同的教学形式,和同伴之间展开对话,使学生在更真实,更直观的情景中训练Why 和Because引导的句型。
Step 6:Homewurk.(作业)
(1)Remember and copy the new words about the animals in Unit5.(2)Write a composition about the animals you like and give the reasons why you like them.
让学生记忆和抄写单词可以训练学生书写速度和书写规范性。让学生写一篇自己所爱动物并说明原因,以达到让学生熟练运用本课时重点的目的。
