In recent years, I insisted on using a brush to face character sketching. At the end of last year and the beginning of this year, two hours of extracurricular class painting over 200 pages of paper were completed. The longest portrait was completed in over 40 minutes. Sketching is usually done in fifteen minutes and the maximum number of paintings a day is twenty-one. The benefits of brush painting are obvious. In the recent creation of ink figure paintings, I changed the habit of drafting drawings from the past and used the ink lines directly to shape the book paper. Not only familiar with the hook line, but also to avoid the pencil sketch into a white draft version of the physical changes brought about and other unfavorable factors.
