On the New Year’s Day in 1955, the CPC Central Committee General Office received documents, as usual, presented to all by Chairman Mao Zedong for approval. Among the many official documents, one piece of material looks different and very conspicuous. It was sent by Zhang Shizhao, then director of the Central Museum of Chinese History, except for a letter from Mao Zedong to Zhang Shizhao and two poems by Zhang Shizhao entitled “The Manchus of the Manchus”, as well as the passage of a young woman at the age of 19
