The Plague was a novel created half a century ago by Camus (1913 ~ 1960), the master of French existentialism. Describing a sudden outbreak of plague in a city called Oran in North Africa, many people have lost their autonomy and placed their hopes on God in the hope that God will come out to save them. Dr. Rieu stood up and told everyone that there was no savior at all, and that in the end only those who were self-conscious and courageous could save themselves and save the city. They stood out and escaped the city through their own resistance Disaster. In 1957, Camus won the Nobel Prize in Literature for his “plague.” In the past, we used to read the plague as a fiction and symbol. After experiencing the SARS crisis, we suddenly found out that it is actually a human reality in the face of a major disaster
