Objective To explore how to dispose of and recycle radioactively contaminated disposable syringes. Methods The disposable syringe injected with radionuclide was placed in the lead cylinder according to the type of radionuclide. According to the length of the radionuclide half-life. After being placed for 0.5, 1, 2, 3, and 4 months, respectively, the remaining radiation dose rate was measured using a Gene-1 type radioactive fouling instrument. Results One-time syringes injected with 99mTc were left for half a month, while those with 153Sm, 131I, and 32P were placed for 2, 3, and 4 months, respectively, and the remaining radiation dose rate was measured up to the air background level, which can be recovered as ordinary disposable syringes. And processing. 5. Conclusions The use of radioactive decay method to recover and dispose of disposable radioactive syringes is a feasible and safe method.
