Objective To investigate the role of CD4 + TH1 TH2 cells in the development of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods T lymphocyte subsets and CD4 + TH1 TH2 functional subtypes in peripheral blood of 15 patients with RA and 30 healthy controls were detected by ELISPOT. Results The percentage of TH1 cells in RA patients was higher than that in control group (P <0.05). Conclusion TH1 cell-mediated cellular immunity may be related to the occurrence and development of RA.
