《思潮志》立项已经近三年,三年来,《思潮志》的撰写一波三折,而此一波三折的过程则始终伴随着思考和探索,将其间的思考和实践书之于笔,借《清史研究》一席之地刊布,不仅可求教于学界各位前辈、同仁,而且可以为新修《清史》的纂修工程留下一纸文献。一、从《思想文化志》到《思潮志》2004年,典志组专家在设计“典志”诸志时,开始考虑是否设置“思想文化志”。对于这一设想我是积极加以支持的。《思想文化志》是否可以成立,其重要前提有两点:(一)“思想文化”究竟是什么?(二)“思想文化”在清代历史中意义何在?文化学的理论认为,文化结构是可分的。由表及里,文化结构大致可分为器物文化、制度文化、行为文化、思想文化。所谓思想文
