在强力、高速、高精度的加工中,或者是人身接触有危险的作业中(如放射性),已广泛应用工业机器人。随着工业机器人技术的不断发展,它不仅能代替人完成超越人体能力的单调的操作,而且还可用于实现极其复杂的运动。要想使工业机器人能完成象人进行手工操作那样的复杂动作,必须使工业机器人具有高度的信息处理能力,也就是说,要求工业机器人应具有适应环境变化的恰当处置能力。因为人类具有视觉、触觉、听觉、嗅觉、味觉等所谓五感。所以能够适应外界环境的变化,并能取恰当的处置手段,完成人类所需要完成的动作。由此可见,我们若使工业机器人具有象人奖那样的一些最主要的感觉,这样,工业机器人的工作能力就可以获得巨大的飞跃。例如,用工业机器人恰当地握着物体(即不滑脱,也不握坏),堆积物体,运输
