A few years ago, a senior CBC producer told CCTV’s colleagues from China who shared their experiences with the Olympic Games that “live broadcasting is the king of television to win audiences.” The TV news broadcast started in the 1990s showed that although there was no intense deduction from the gold medal in the Olympic venues, its form has long since walked out of the stereotype created by the pioneers. As technology advances rapidly, news reports get closer and closer to the scene of the incident, and news broadcasts are increasingly showing a “studio + scene” trend. In any case, technical means only provide more possibilities for live news broadcasts, but they can never substitute for the inherent storytelling and uncertainty inherent in the news events that attract and impress the audience.
