在计算机出现的半个世纪以来，人机界面经历了巨大的变化。就具体形式而言，过去经历了批处理、联机终端、菜单等阶段。目前正处于以图形用户界面和多媒体用户界面为主流的阶段。

在计算机出现的半个世纪以来，人机界面经历了巨大的变化。就具体形式而言，过去经历了批处理、联机终端、菜单等阶段。目前正处于以图形用户界面和多媒体用户界面为主流的阶段。未来的发展趋势是多通道、多媒体用户界面和虚拟与现实系统，从而最终进入“人机和谐”、“适人化”的多维信息空间和“基于自然交互方式”的最高形式。
