Objective To explore the relationship between non-motor symptoms and the ability of taking care of daily living in elderly patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and nursing interventions. Methods A total of 136 elderly PD patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group, 68 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing care of neurological diseases. The observation group developed targeted nursing measures according to the severity of non-motor symptoms and ADL score. The clinical effects of two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the number of non-motor symptoms in the observation group was less than that in the control group, with significant difference (P <0.05). After intervention, the ADL score of the observation group was (86.22 ± 8.63) points, which was higher than that of the control group (71.45 ± 11.78) points, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Non-motor symptoms of elderly patients with PD can affect their daily living ability, nursing interventions can improve non-motor symptoms and improve their daily living ability.
