Britain is one of the earliest and most influential countries in the development of deaf education in the world. As early as 1815, Thomas Hopkins Gallaudet, founder of the deaf school in the United States, traveled extensively to the United Kingdom and taught at the then deaf educator Braidwood. For the past 200 years or so, deaf education in the United Kingdom has never dried up like the Thames, and ever-changing influx of stagnant water into the water. On the eve of the new century and the eve of the new millennium, with the deaf education delegation in Jiangsu, I visited the United Kingdom to study the education for the deaf and personally experienced the new trend of a stock surging in the long river of deaf education in Britain. Now I want to recapitulate what I have seen, seen and heard in the UK based on memories and serve as a gift for the new millennium to modern special education readers.
