北大的优良传统有两个突出的方面：一是民主与科学，典型的代表人物是蔡元培；二是传播与研究马克思主义，典型的代表人物是李大钊。两个方面相互推动，相得益彰。两位代表人物的思想都富于哲学的深度。本文侧重于指明李大钊哲学思想的三个重要特点：倡导青春精神，要求创造青春之中华；倡导中西思想融合，主张走综合创新之路；倡导历史观与人生观的统一，讲究人生修养。这些特点对今日的大学教育和马克思主义研究的意义和启示，乃是作者立意思索的主题
Peking University’s fine tradition has two prominent aspects: First, democracy and science, the typical representative is Cai Yuanpei; the second is the dissemination and study of Marxism, the typical representative is Li Dazhao. Two aspects of mutual promotion, complement each other. The thoughts of the two representatives are rich in philosophical depth. This article focuses on three important characteristics of Li Dazhao’s philosophical thinking. It advocates the spirit of youth and calls for the creation of a youthful China. It advocates the fusion of Chinese and Western thought, advocates the road of comprehensive innovation, advocates the unification of history and outlook on life, and emphasizes on life accomplishment. The significance and enlightenment of these characteristics on today’s university education and Marxism research are the themes of the author’s contemplation
