The risk of exposure to asbestos and cancer has been the subject of many epidemiological studies. Due to the large number of workers (estimated at 4,500,000) employed by US shipyards during World War II at the shipyard. Therefore, the long-term risk of exposure to asbestos and related cancers has aroused people’s attention. Of particular concern is the extent to which cancer among workers exposed to asbestos in naval shipyards during World War II is at risk.
