Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is a serious disease of human life and health. Inflammation and oxidative stress throughout the formation of atherosclerosis and progression to unstable plaque of the whole process. Studies have shown that myeloperoxidase (MPO) as a new inflammatory mediators play an important role in the pathogenesis of acute coronary syndromes, and has some early warning value for vulnerable plaque. This article focuses on the myeloperoxidase heme oxygenase oxidative stress generated by the active substances on the vascular endothelial damage, low density lipoprotein and high-density lipoprotein oxidation and other aspects are discussed, and further reveal the marrow Peroxidase in the pathogenesis and prognosis of acute coronary syndrome in the role and mechanism, while MPO will be expected to become a new target lipid-lowering therapy.
