At present, piano produced at home and abroad, a lot of chord plate by the thickness of the same five layers of wood, vertical cross-bonded texture; the uppermost and the lower most stress, texture and stress the same direction. This structure of the chord plate, it should be said that the design is more reasonable. However, due to the inherent inhomogeneity of the wood itself and the existence of morbid defects, it is still often encountered in our piano repair work where the strings are loose and the temperament can not be adjusted. After removing the pegs, you will see these pegs deform to some extent (crushed) and small cracks appear in the hole walls (oblate long axis). For this reason, we envisaged a chord plate made of wood of unequal thickness and believed that it is superior to the above-mentioned chord plate in pitch stability.
