The Yaquila Pb-Zn-Ag deposit is a large deposit within the Pb-Zn polymetallic metallogenic belt on the northern side of the Gangdise. Borehole cataloging found that both the brown-red granite porphyry and the off-white quartz porphyry in the Yaweila mining area are pierced by a large number of sulfide-bearing quartz veins. At the same time, the limestone formations which are in direct contact with these two sets of porphyries are also accompanied by strong sulphide mineralization and skarnization. In this paper, zircon U-Pb zircon dating technique was used to study the chronology of ore-bearing brown-red granite porphyry and gray-white quartz porphyry respectively. The weighted average ages of the two zircons were 132.1 ± 1 Ma and 62.4 ± 0.6 Ma. No ore deposits of typical sedimentary jet flow were found during borehole cataloging, while most of the ore bodies were characterized by a large amount of skarn minerals, indicating that the Yaquala Pb-Zn-Ag polymetallic deposit should be mainly affected by magmatic heat Liquid control. Zircon U-Pb dating shows that the mine experienced the magmatic events related to the Early Cretaceous and the reddish-brown granite porphyry and was subsequently enriched in ore-bearing hydrothermal fluids related to the gray-white quartz porphyry during the Paleocene precipitation. According to the existing research data, we know that the mineralization of the northern Gangdese belt lasted from the Cretaceous to the Miocene and were characterized by base metal mineralization such as Pb-Zn-Ag. The substrate strongly controls the type of mineralized metal.
