上海永乐股份有限公司、永乐电影制片公司和云南民族电影制片厂联合摄制的电影《生死千里》(原名《闪电——伊洛瓦底》),最近在上海公映。这部影片内容:1942年12月,爱国华侨陈嘉庚先生(后改称黄国雄)在东南亚召集三千华侨青年组成汽车运输队,自滇缅公路运送中国远征军入缅,终使被困七千英军获救。影片着重描写了这批爱国华侨在这次战役中历经艰险,甘洒热血的英雄业绩。笔者当年曾以记者身份于1940年10月,乘搭这些回国华侨驾驶的西南运输处汽车赴滇缅公路巡礼,复于1942年春随中国远征军入缅采访战地新闻。因此,饶有兴趣观看了这部影片后,略述感言。首先,我们尊重历史,对来自东南亚一带爱国华侨青年参加抗战期间运输服务对祖国的贡献,应予充分肯定和
