叶兆言,江苏苏州人,1957年出生,1982年毕业于南京大学中文系,1986年获硕士学位,1980年开始发表作品。其作《悬挂的绿苹果》获1988年钟山奖,《追月楼》获1987～1988年全国优秀中篇小说奖、首届江苏文学艺术奖。现为江苏省作协专业作家,中国作家协会会员。主要作品有:《烛光舞会》、《一九三七年的爱情》、《花煞》、《花影》、《旧式的情感》、《小杜向往的浪漫生活》、《路边的月亮》、《哭泣的小猫》、《诗意的子川》、《闲话南京的作家》、《南京女人》和《我们的心如此顽固》等。
Ye Zhaoyan, born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, was born in 1957. He graduated from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Nanjing University in 1982, received a master’s degree in 1986, and began publishing works in 1980. He was awarded the Zhong Shan Award in 1988 for “The Hanging Green Apple,” and “The Chasing Lou Lou” won the National Outstanding Novella Award from 1987 to 1988, the first Jiangsu Literature and Art Prize. He is currently a professional writer of Jiangsu Province and a member of the Chinese Writers Association. The main works include: “Candle Ball”, “Love in 1937”, “Flowers”, “Flower Shadows”, “Old-style Emotions”, “Romantic Life of Xiao Du Longing”, “The Moon on the Road”, “The Crying Kitten,” “Poetic Zi Chuan,” “Gossip Nanjing Writer,” “Nanjing Woman,” and “Our Mind is Stubborn”.
