马丁·艾米斯的《伦敦场地》创作于新旧世纪交替之际,是一部谋杀小说。整部小说像一场错乱的游戏,而这种错乱游戏的本身恰恰是对千年末整个社会、整个时代的绝妙讽刺。小说中体现出的情感都与传统的价值相悖,是完全而彻底的倒错,不仅两性情感倒错、父子情感倒错,美与丑、生与死的基本概念也完全是一片混乱,展示了后现代语境下最疏离、最残忍的“废都”式生存困境,提出了关于人类未来的严峻问题。
Martin Amis’s “London Venue” was a murder novel that alternated between the old and new century. The whole novel is like a deranged game, which is, by itself, a wonderful irony of the entire society at the end of the millennium and the entire era. The emotions reflected in the novels all contradict the values of the tradition and are completely and thoroughly inverted. Not only is the gender balance inverted, the parent-child relationship inverted, beauty and ugliness, and the basic concepts of life and death are all completely confused, In the post-modern context, the most alienated and cruel “dwelling place” type of living dilemma poses a serious problem concerning the future of mankind.
