说到戏剧文化,大家很少会提到戏剧海报在发展戏剧中的贡献,或者说戏剧海报是发展戏剧文化的重要力量之说,很多人并不认同,或者说对这方面的情况不清楚,这可能是由于人们长期以来忽视戏剧海报作用的原因吧。其实,戏剧海报与戏剧界的关系是相当密切的,也可以说戏剧海报是戏剧艺术中不能缺少的部分。文章记述了发生在上世纪60~70年代的日本戏剧界中的一种现象,这种在当时被称为“走近市民”的举动,在今天看来是亲近市民的一种好形式,在出乎意料的巨大成功中,可以看到其最大因素是由当时的戏剧海报的成功创意和宣传的结果,由此奠定了日本现代戏剧新风格。
