曹春生1937年3月生于辽宁省沈阳市,祖籍北京,满族。1957年毕业于中央美院附中,同年被保送至中央美院雕塑系深造,师从刘开渠、王临乙等教授。1959年受国家选派到苏联列宁格勒列宾美术学院雕塑系留学,师从苏联著名雕塑家米·康·阿尼库申教授。1964年学成回国,任教于中央美院雕塑系。曾任中央美院雕塑系主任,院学术委 Cao Chunsheng Born in Shenyang, Liaoning Province in March 1937, his ancestral home was Beijing and Manchu.
