宋德钧同志认为“盆栽”音译已流行于世界,建议“盆景”一词应穿上“西装”出国,言下之意是:用“盆栽”来代替“盆景”。我认为,这一意见值得商榷。“盆栽”,是把自然界生长的某些植物“栽”在盆内培植,如盆栽葡萄、盆栽柑桔……等等。进一步,对盆内栽培的某些植物进行科学的修剪、攀扎,使之成为一种活的艺术品,这就是我们常说的“树桩盆景”。但它毕竟是栽在盆内的植物,仍然可称它为“盆栽”。但“盆景”就不同了,它的意义是在盆内制(造)景。就是把大自然的景物制(造)于盆钵之中。“盆景”比“盆栽”的范围大了,意义深远了,因而要求也就严格了。 Comrade Song Dejun believed that “potted” transliteration has become popular in the world.
