Sri Lanka, an island nation on the South Asian subcontinent, has a long history of culture. Its film art has long been influenced by Indian Bollywood films. Contemporary Sri Lankan films are influenced by both Hollywood and Chinese films and have their unique ethnic characteristics and artistic styles.
