长绒棉是吐鲁番地区的主要经济作物,大力发展长绒棉生产对本地区经济建设和提高人民生活水平都具有十分重要的意义。1997-2000年,通过为期四年的区域化试验,为育种家选育出的优良品系进行品种审定和进而生产推广提供科学依据。 一、试验方法 1.供试品种（系） 品系D-748、D-238对照为试点区主栽品种新海5号,鄯善县乔克塘村点设新海9号。 2、试验点的分布 火焰山山南的吐鲁番地区农科所、鄯善县鲁克沁镇,山北的吐鲁番市胜金乡,鄯善县乔克塘村。
