目的 探讨中子辐照改色黄玉的总放射性水平及其变化规律。方法 采集刚进入市场 ,或正在加工的中子辐照改色黄玉制成品或坯料 ,测定其总α、总 β放射性比活度。 结果 中子辐照改色前后黄玉的总α放射性比活度无显著差异 ;而总 β放射性比活度差异显著 ,前后两者之间相差 4个数量级。 结论 中子辐照改色黄玉应属放射性物质 ,放射性半衰期为 87 72天 ,辐照改色后的黄玉制品至少应贮存 2~ 3年后使用 ,对消费者才可能是足够安全的
Objective To investigate the total radioactivity and its variation of nephrite irradiated topaz. Methods The finished product or blank of the modified topaz, which has just entered the market or is being processed, was collected and its total α, total β radioactivity was measured. Results There was no significant difference in the total radioactivity of topaz before and after neutron irradiation. The specific activity of total radioactivity varied significantly, with a difference of 4 orders of magnitude before and after irradiation. Conclusion Neutron irradiation topaz should be a radioactive material with a radioactive half-life of 87 72 days. The irradiated topaz product should be stored for at least 2 to 3 years before use, which may be safe enough to the consumer
