该书由我校潘炯华教授和郑文彪讲师合作编著,获1988年中南五省(区)第二届优秀科技图书奖.全书共分五章,即胡子鲶的生物学特性,人工繁殖,鱼苗、鱼种培养,成鱼养殖,鱼病防治.另有附录四个,即鱼苗活饲料的培育,鲤鱼脑下垂体的摘取和保存,鱼种浸洗消毒常用药物用量参考,本国胡子鲶与泰国胡子鲶的氨基酸含量测定.潘教授早在60年代初期就进行胡子鲶(塘虱鱼)的驯化利用研究工作,在养殖胡子鲶方面积累了丰富的经验,该书把作者多年来对胡子鲶的研究成果与养殖的实践经验结合起来,理论与实践结合紧密,深入浅出,易懂易学,出版后深受各界人士的欢迎,引起有关专家、水产养殖工作者和养殖个体户的重视.1985年10月作者在亚洲淡水养鱼学术讨论会上报告“中国胡子鲶的养殖”论文后,有几个东南亚国家的水产养殖专家马上向作者索取该书;不少读者和养殖专业户读了该书后给作者来信,叙述该书使他们的胡子鲶养殖工作,包括种苗 The book is edited by Professor Pan Jionghua and Zheng Wenbiao from our school and won the second excellent science and technology book prize of five provinces of South and Central China in 1988.
