Optimum laser tempering process parameters of W9Mo3Cr4V high speed steel were optimized by orthogonal experiment. The results show that the laser quenching hardness and the secondary hardening peak of high speed steel are significantly higher than those of conventional quenching, while the secondary hardening value of laser tempering can reach the secondary hardening value of conventional tempering
