According to the latest news from “Metal Bulletin” 2000, the Nippon Steel Corporation’s Nagoya No.3 blast furnace has been shutdown for the third overhaul. Overhaul work started from January 17 and is expected to be completed on April 18, with construction cost of about 20 billion yen. The overhaul will significantly expand the capacity of No.3 blast furnace from 342 4m3 at the first furnace opening in 1969 to this furnace
